RIP PETER YATES
One of the most versatile, brilliant and unsung directors of the past 50 years. He was particularly astute at the crime genre(my personal favorite). However his gentle humanity was displayed magnificently across the board, particularly in the Oscar-winning classic BREAKING AWAY. He will be missed.

2010 Movies
As you may recall, in 2009 I saw 365 movies for the first time. From beginning to end. It was difficult. As you may also recall, I said I’d never do it again. I kept to my word. I saw less than half that amount in 2010. And I seemed to develop a life!
Here are the ‘new’ films I saw in 2010. As I’ve said before: If I haven’t seen it, it’s new to me.
