MY OSCARS
There are some films I love, like, don’t like, etc. nominated this year. Of those nominated, my heart is with MONEYBALL, Gary Oldman, Janusz Kaminski, John Williams, et. al.
But here are MY oscars. The films I would nominate in several categories if I were doin’ the nominatin’! With my ‘winners’ at the top

Thank you so much! Yes, I’m the kid who saw GHOSTBUSTERS nine times in the theatre. I can’t help but be influenced by ‘The Great One.’ I even improvised a few lines about ‘Gozer’ in there. Just saw The Innkeepers, GREAT
Just saw you in The Innkeepers and can’t get over how much I enjoyed it. Two great horror films this year, incredibly simple, deceptively even… yours (you and Paxton are incredibly good together!) and Kill List. The latter was a visceral sort of thing, unexpectedly violent and gruesome, whereas Innkeepers shocked with charm and an incredibly restrained style. I was tensed up...
RIP BEN GAZZARA
He gave a lifetime of great performances on stage and screen, including originating the role of Brick in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof on Broadway.
But Ben Gazzara as Cosmo Vitelli in John Cassavetes’ THE KILLING OF A CHINESE BOOKIE is, without question and in my humble opinion, one of the five greatest performances ever committed to film. You should see it now if you haven’t already.
